HPV Human Papillomavirus
Hpv human papillomavirus is often treated with cryosurgery or a cone biopsy (which also removes affected tissue).
The viruses that are linked to dysplasia and cancers, primarily in squamous cells are the types 16 and 18. Commonly found in the uterine cervix. If untreated, cervical dysplasia can become cancerous. More recently this virus has been linked to cancers such as skin, lung eye, and esophagus.
