When diagnosed with hpv, women often will have an ASCUS results on their pap smear, a condition that may develope into cervical cancer if left untreated.
Human papillomavirus is often associated with cervical dysplasia (CIN) or abnormalities in the cervix. There are several methods for treating this condition on the earlier stages. Without proper treatment such abnormalities turn into cervical invasive cancer that is very difficult to treat.

In men, warts caused by human papillomavirus are less common and can be found on the tip of the penis, on the scrotum, or around the anus. Men can get it during the genital, oral or anal sex. This virus often causes genital warts on the cervix. When diagnosed with hpv, women often will have an ASCUS results on their pap smear, a condition that may develope into cervical cancer if left untreated.
