HPV Type
There are approximately 90 HPV type of strains, 30 of these strains are genital and about 6 can cause an ASCUS reading on a pap smear that could lead to cervical cancer.
It takes a long time to cure genital warts, because there is no perfect remedy for this condition. The warts can be removed by several methods, but the virus itself remains in the body and may cause more warts in the future.
