Types Of HPV
There are about 100 types of hpv, but only some of them lead to serious disorders that require cone biopsy; a colposcopy exam is necessary for early detection of the virus.
Most Human Papilloma virus strains can be asymptomatic, or even unrecognized. Therefore, early diagnosis and treatment is necessary. Some of the virus strains are associated with cancer. There are now at least 70 known strains of Human Papilloma viruses studied.

The primary goal of treating visible genital warts is the removal of symptomatic warts. Other than the genital area, the virus has been associated with conjunctival, nasal, oral, and laryngeal warts.
