HPV In Man
HPV in man and woman can result in warts and vulvar vestibulitis (woman); thus, a LEEP procedure may be needed.
With over 100 strains or types of this virus ranging from low to high risk, as many as 30 strains are transmitted sexually. The low risk strains include growths or bumps in the genital area (genital warts) and the high-risk strains are linked to cervical, vulva, and anal cancers.

This virus is transmitted most commonly through skin-to-skin contact during vaginal, oral, or anal sex with an infected partner. Often this disease develops no symptoms. Although most people develop no visible symptoms, there are some people that get genital warts within 6 months of transmission.
